Patient Response System
Caring for a terminally ill loved one is no simple task. As the premiere hospice and palliative care provider in New Jersey for over 40 years, we understand that questions and concerns do not wait for normal business hours to arise. Because of this, the Center has designed a unique Patient Response System, designed to address the needs of our patients and their families at any time of the day or night.
The system utilizes awake, on-site nurses whose sole responsibility is to respond to these calls and drive to a patient’s place of residence to address any medical issues or concerns. The central feature that distinguishes the Patient Response System is that it is the patient/caregiver who defines the need for a visit; every caller is offered a visit and must decline, unlike traditional emergency systems that make you wait for a call-back, leave it to the nurse to decide, or even delay a visit until normal business hours.
The system has been praised by our patients and their caregivers for its convenience, reliability and its patient-centered approach.
